Guests received custom tickets with their name in gold for the 2026 Book of Weddings Release

Wed Society is a national wedding media brand and franchise network that connects engaged couples with local wedding vendors. Lucky for us—we’re a partner vendor for the Austin + Hill Country chapter, and this year provided our service of on-site calligraphy for one of their biggest events of the year.

What is the Book of Weddings?

Every year, WedSociety publishes an annual glossy magazine featuring the season’s best weddings and highlighting the local Austin vendors who made them possible. The book is full of beautiful editorial imagery capturing everything from the florals, to the decorations, and to the wonderful couples themselves.

The buzz around this edition is palpable, as submissions close in the summer in order to be able to publish a print-ready analog highlight reel for future brides and grooms.

This year, the release party was at the Texas Science & Natural History Museum in Downtown Austin. Talk about a venue! With fossils and dinosaurs gracing the entrance, the decorators had a massive challenge—to transform this lobby into a moody and elegant set for attendees to mingle in.

On-Site Ticket Calligraphy

The lush and gemstone art deco theme allowed for the creation of custom stationery in the form of guest ticket bookmarks. Attendees could come to our on-site calligraphy station where they could receive their names written in gold on a bookmark keepsake.

We liked this because it was a memento of the event itself (it was decorated with the event branding and had the event details on the ticket itself) and b) was easy enough to tuck in a purse or pocket and used at a later date with the pages of a book.

The moral of the story here is that you don’t need a fancy activation to make a big impact. In our case, we just needed a gold pen to create a forever keepsake live for guests (and some beautiful penmanship, of course 😉).
